Quartz enclosing Arsenopyrite, ex Obodda

Item Description

An impressive large doubly terminated quartz crystal from the famous Panasqueira Mine. The very glassy, water-clear to translucent sharply terminated crystal is dramatically accented by the flattened "wing" quartz at the base, numerous included lustrous metallic arsenopyrite plates, to 9 mm, in the lower half of the crystal, and also with preferential coating of tiny light brown siderite disks. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Very trivial termination bruising is out-of-sight in the primary view and the noted bruising to the end of the "wing" have virtually no impact to the fine quality of this large and excellent quartz combination.
