Quartz encl. Rutile (rare) ex Obodda

Item Description

Mineral specimens of any species are quite rare from this obscure Pakistan district. A glassy, water-clear to translucent, quartz crystal enclosing stellate clusters of golden rutile needles is extremely rare. The crystal is sharply euhedral with bruising on the termination and out-of-sight contacting on the back. A very showy, perhaps unique, combination specimen from this uncommon locale. It looks like Brazilian material, but its not. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $350, five or more years ago.
