Brilliant golden rutile needles are richly enclosed in all the quartz crystals on this sculptural and aesthetic large specimen from the Shigar Valley. The impresssive large crystal is 5.4 cm tall. Very interestingly, the crystals have both water-clear and frosted faces. Strange chemistry here. This very fine two-sided piece is in excellent shape, with only a few gently bruised tips and the noted periphery wear, which is confined to one side. Such rich and fine large rutile and quartz combinations are not that common from here. Choice material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $750, more than 7 years ago.
