Matrix quartz specimens included with actinolite needles are very uncommon from Alchuri and this is a very fine and aesthetic example. Most such are just broken off of the matrix (here essentially all byssolite needles). The striking, water-clear, sharpy terminated, tapered prism is richly filled with grass-green needles. The 2.5 cm long needle protrudes out of the side of the quartz. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial termination bruising. This is the finest example of this type from the Herb Obodda dealer stock, that we have offered at auction. Herb valued this at $300, five or more years ago.
