Elestial Quartz specimens are known by many names, such as Alligator Quartz, Jacare Quartz, Fenster Quartz, Angel Quartz, Skeletal Quartz, etc. According to Luiz Menezes, ""Elestial" uartz are smoky quartz crystals with fluid inclusions; the metaphysical people believe that it combines 4 elements: the stone (represented by the quartz itself), the fire (represented by the smoky color), the water and the air (that are present in the biphasic liquid-gas inclusions), and this combination of the 4 elements transmit to the quartz special properties that I don't know exactly what they are; even if the biphasic inclusions cannot be seen by naked eye, but only under a loupe or a microscope, the piece is an elestial; so all "alligator quartz" from Brazil are elestials." These are mostly for the metaphysical crowd, but they are certainly attractive no matter what they're called. This piece features a small Smoky Quartz crystal that is smartly perched on a very thin shard of colorless CRYSTALLIZED Quartz matrix. Really unusual, and certainly attractive for the material.
