Quartz (DT) with Hematite

Item Description

A colorful cluster of the well-known rust-red Quartz from recent finds on the Namibian side of the Orange River. These have the beautiful coloration that some Quartzes from there have shown due to rich Hematite inclusions, and in this case, surficial coating. Not only are the crystals totally gemmy (hard to show that in the pics), but they are each doubly-terminated! The longest crystal is 4.7 cm, and the piece is nearly pristine. A top-notch example from this locality, and a good Quartz, period.
