Quartz (doubly-terminated) with Rutile ''needle'' inclusions

Novo Horizonte is well-known for it's beautiful Rutile/Hematite/Quartz specimen, which often features "star"-shaped groups of Hematite and Rutile, included in Quartz. This piece is different and to my eye, much more desirable, as the quality of the Quartz is much higher than most you'll see from the locality. The piece is a rather sharp, GEMMY, lustrous, light smoky colored doubly-terminated hexagonal prism, which plays host to beautiful, thin, acicular "needle"-like inclusions of soft metallic golden colored Rutile frozen inside. There is a bit of grey matrix both included inside, and sitting on the exterior faces of the Quartz crystal, which gives the piece an almost ethereal appearance, as these soft colored bits are just beautifully floating inside. No major damage and very showy / eye-catching. You don't see many doubly-terminated crystals like this from Novo Horizonte, especially this size and quality. Valued $1,500.
