Quartz (doubly-terminated) with Epidote (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A very attractive display specimen from Capelinha featuring a pair of sharp, milky to gemmy, sharp, lustrous, prismatic doubly-terminated Quartz crystals associated with dark green, prismatic Epidote crystals. The largest Quartz crystal measures 7.3 cm, and they are both undamged on the display side with only a minor separation mark on the back. Most of the Epidote crystals are unfortunately contacted, but a few of them show nice terminations. The piece is highly aesthetic, and one rarely sees such a nice combination of Quartz and Epidote like this from Capelinha, especially with doubly-terminated Quartz crystals.
