Item Description
A fine, showy group of very sharp, rather lustrous, GEMMY, colorless (partially iron-stained) crystals of Quartz (some of which are doubly-termianted) in a very aesthetic, three-dimensional group on minor matrix. The largest doubly-terminated Quartz measures 4.6 cm long. No real damage, save the underside where it was removed from the pocket wall. One rarely sees multiple crystals of Quartz intergrown like this from a lot of Swiss localities, as most of them are loose singles. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3528). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
