Quartz coating Fluorite on Galena - unique!

From the notable Mexican classics collection of Dick Heck, built in the 1970s-1990s, this is a superb small cabinet specimen of sparkling fluorite of a classic style that came from finds of the 1980s. The shape of the sharp octahedron is striking, and a rarely seen shape and style for Naica. It is gemmy and transparent within. The fluorite is uniquely coated by a shimmering, sparkling layer of QUARTZ atop! You almost never see good quartz from Naica, and this sparkling coating on a fluorite - I cannot say as I don't recall another. The pristine crystals, covered by sugary quartz, sit on contrasting galena. As with most of Dick Heck's pieces, pristine and complete all around, and superb. Was valued at $2500 when we purchased his collection from his estate. It had disappeared from the market for nearly 20 years!
