Quartz coating Calcite on Amethyst

A striking and excellent two-sided combination piece from the famous Rayas Mine. A large, sharp glassy calcite rhomb with a very nifty double termination is dramatically partially cloaked by sparkly, sugary drusy quartz. The rhomb is aesthetically perched on a quartz sliver, one side covered with light purple amethyst points with the other side peppered with tiny pyrite crystals. The piece displays beautifully without aid. An exceptional and unusual, 360-degree combination.
