Item Description
Classic, rich and sculptural, small cabinet quartz from one of France's great quartz localities - the La Gardette Mine. Striking, jumbled, subparallel clusters of water-clear, colorless prisms aesthetically project upward. The central, prominent crystal is 4.1 cm tall. The frontal view is pristine, except for the acceptable, minimal basal periphery wear. Certainly only a modest detraction. This historic locale was first mined for quartz specimens in the early 1700s. From the Bill Larson Quartz collection case, of approximately 250 specimens, which we bought in 2023. It was a long-term, very diverse mix on display for decades at the Pala International shop as an educational and fun exhibit. It was started back in the late 1970s. An excellent plate from the famed locale.
