Item Description

It's hard to believe that Quartz crystals coated with normally ugly iron oxides could have much appeal, but this specimen is really interesting. The large, 9 cm Quartz crystal is gemmy, nearly doubly-terminated, and almost completely coated. But that coating gives it great visual definition. It is complemented beautifully by a smaller Quartz crystal, a botryoidal stalk of gemmy, silky Chalcedony, and minor Malachite and Calcite. The pics give a feel of just how good this specimen really is. old material
