Item Description

RARE and impressive quartz epimorphs or casts after large, sharp dogtooth calcite crystals from the historic silver mines at Taxco. Glassy scintillating quartz points were deposited on the sculptural intergrown pair of stout calcite crystals and then the calcite was dissolved away leaving the sharp prism faces of the calcite scalenohedrons in the interior. A very fascinating and rare large Mexican pseudomorph from the well-known Remedios Mine from the Ken Roberts Pseudomorph Collection.
