Item Description
This bizarre combination piece has a quartz epimorphic cast formed OVER a quartz crystal that is still there, not dissolved away and disappearing anytime soon. Usually the epimorphs form as casts after something that is also dissolving or etching away. This however, preserves 2 generations of quartz. Unusual.
