Item Description

Bizarre looking, RARE large pseudomorph from this obscure extinct manganese and silver mining district in New Mexico. Multi-hued nubby, druzy quartz has pseudomorphed a striking cross-hatched boxwork of upright tabular calcite crystals on the sculptural druzy quartz covered cherty limestone matrix. The dominating, large tabular pseudo is 4.3 cm across. Rare, possibly unique large pseudomorph from the locale dating to the 1950s to 1970s. A must for the pseudomorph, locality or species collector.
