Item Description
Mineral specimens of ANY type are EXTREMELY RARE from this obscure State in northeastern Myanmaar (Burma). A sculptural dense field of glassy, translucent quartz points, to around 4.0 cm, encloses or is nicely accented with classic, sharp pyritohedrons with bright metallic brassy lustre and striking striated faces. The imposing large edge pyrite is 2.8 cm. Complete all-around and in excellent shape, overall. You barely notice the few scattered broken quartz points in the interior. The periphery wear to the pyrite field has minimal impact to the high quality of this rarity. A fascinating , showy and VERY RARE large 360-degree quartz and pyrite combination from this most obscure Myanmar locale. These came out around 2017-18
