Quartz and Feldspar (fluorescent)

Select cluster of about a dozen attractive Quartz crystals set in a sugary matrix of fine white Feldspar. The largest of the main Quartz crystals is doubly-terminated and over 6 cm long, and it is set beautifully against other Quartz crystals, all on matrix. The Quartzes are gemmy, with a silky luster that still transmits light very well. The large majority are pristine, with only one ding on one of the medium crystals. The specimen has good balance, which adds dramatic flair to the piece. Adding even more drama and flair is the incredible deep pink fluorescence of the matrix. I have seen Erongo Feldspars fluoresce red before, but not this rich pink. Very aesthetic - you would think clear-on-white is not so interesting but in person, the subtle contrasts are really striking and you seldom see colorless Quartz from here.
