Quartz / Amethyst with Hematite inclusions

Some of the finest quality crystallized specimens of Quartz from any world locality are the now famous pieces from Goboboseb Mountain in Namibia. These specimens have been on the market for a good amount of time now, and I would consider them to be classics or what Wayne Thompson would call a "contemporary classic". You'll see a lot of these pieces labeled as coming from Brandberg, but the mountain is about 8 miles away from there. This attractive small cabinet display specimen hosts incredibly lustrous, very sharp, gemmy prismatic crystals of white / colorless Quartz (the larger crystals show light purple Amethyst coloring) measuring up to 4.0 cm long and aesthetically flaring off matrix. Many of the crystals feature intense blood red metallic inclusions of Hematite creating a fantastic effect. Very little damage and fun to display from a few angles. Retail value is $950. This piece comes from a prominent Midwest collection that we recently acquired.
