Item Description

A RARE, unusual and showy pseudomorph with accessories from this former W-Mo-Cu-Au-Ag-Bi mine. Gray drusy quartz has pseudomorphed a large cylindrical laumontite crystal. The core has remnant fibrous snow-white leonhardite, an uncommon partially dehydrated variety of laumontite. RARE for the locale, small gray stilbite blades cover the face of the pseudo along with also RARE rhombs of glassy, transparent to translucent, gray-brown calcite. The calcite rhombs fluorescence straw-yellow under LW and SW UV. Fascinating and extremely rare combination material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. A MUST for the California, species or pseudomorph collector! Value of such a rarity??
