Item Description
A bizarre, yet very showy Sweet Home combination specimen with sharp, gemmy, up to 2.0 cm, lavender fluorite cubes that have been mostly pseudomorphed (replaced) by quartz. You can see the lavender fluorite peering out of some of the smaller crystals. We have heard alternative theories, that the white is inclusions or colorless fluorite, deposited in some unusual direction-oriented effect. Nevertheless, the result is really shockingly stark phantoms within the fluorite crystals. Note the fluorites are gem clear, internally, and have a lavender color. Quartz points are a nice association and the matrix consists of brilliant, sharp tetrahedrite crystals with pyrite at the bottom. There is a nifty rhodo rhomb hidden in the cleft on the top, back. From the Porcelain Pocket. Ex. Ken Roberts Collection. Rare Sweet Home combination material, whatever the true nature of the fluorites are!!
