Item Description
A bizarre, yet very showy Sweet Home combination specimen with sharp, gemmy, up to 1.0 cm, lavender fluorite cubes that have been partially pseudomorphed by quartz. All of the earlier generation of smaller cubes have been totally pseudomorphed. We have heard alternative theories, that the white is inclusions or colorless fluorite, deposited in some unusual direction-oriented effect. Nevertheless, the result is really shockingly stark phantoms within the fluorite crystals. Note the fluorites are gem clear, internally, and have a lavender color. Minor quartz is in association and the back reveals a matrix of brilliant, sharp tetrahedrite crystals with a few small rhodo rhombs. From the Porcelain Pocket. Ex. Harold Urish Collection. Rare Sweet Home combination material, whatever the true nature of the fluorites is!!
