Item Description

Here we have a great specimen for all you cast collectors out there. This area has produced some excellent Quartz casts from anywhere in the United States. It features small, sugary, white crystals of Quartz which have coated bright green Fluorite, which in turn has partially dissolved away, leaving some hollow casts in the form of the original Fluorite octahedrons. You can see that some of the Fluorite is still present on the piece, but areas on the reverse side show the hollow areas where it no longer remains. This area produces very little in the way of specimens, and it is very difficult to find such large, attractive display pieces such as this on the market. A very worthwhile piece of this classic material from southwestern Colorado. Valued at $1000.
