Quartz (2 generations) on Fluorite (classic CO)

Two generations of quartz cover a two-sided vein of rich mint-green, glassy, translucent fluorite from the renowned San Juan Mts. Sharp, coated fluorite octahedrons, dominated by the well-placed 1.5 cm across octo on one side, are highlights to both sides. The fluorite is mainly covered with drusy quartz, but scattered sharp, terminated crystals, to 6 mm, are super accessories. A classic and highly desirable San Juan combination, possibly from the famous Sunnyside Mine. Purple fluorescence.
