Item Description
Adorable, older miniature quartz specimen from Pakistan. The sculptural cluster of water-clear, tabular quartz crystals is dominated by the striking, 4.9 cm, doubly terminated crystal. The sharp chisel termination at the top is dramatically contrasted by the two, offset, different style terminations at the base - the longer pointed termination and the shorter chisel termination. The attached small crystals add much pizzazz. Older material from Gilgit-Baltistan. "Northern Areas" was formally named in 1970 and was renamed "Gilgit-Baltistan" in 2009 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilgit-Baltistan). From the Bill Larson Quartz collection case, of approximately 250 specimens, which we bought in 2023. It was a long-term, very diverse mix on display for decades at the Pala International shop as an educational and fun exhibit. It was started back in the late 1970s. A really cute, older miniature of tabular quartz crystals from Pakistan.
