Item Description

An exceptional and highly unusual looking, doubly terminated, floater, gem quartz crystal from the well-known Mt. Ida area of Arkansas. The pristine, 360-degree, water-clear, tabular, crystal has remarkable complex crystallization on all sides. The spearpoint termination at one end is dramatically antithetic to the broad, offset, razor-sharp chisel termination at the other end. The well-placed, embedded, 1.0 cm, doubly terminated quartz crystal on the front adds even more character this exotic looking quartz. Ex Brooks Britt Collection and from an unknown Mt. Ida locality. MINDAT does not list either the Sweet Surrender Mine or the Sweet Home Mine for the Mt. Ida area. Irregardless, this is a unique and fascinating Mt. Ida small cabinet quartz specimen.
