Pyrrhotite w/ Sphalerite & Galena (superb & classic locale)

Mesmerizing bright bronze iridescence and lustre on this fantastically sculptural small cabinet of densely intergrown, sharp, parallel-growth, tabular hexagonal pyrrhotite crystals from the historic polymetallic Herja Mine of Romania. The plates are dramatically peppered with tiny sphalerite crystals, to 6 mm, and there's splendent metallic gleam of a small galena section in the crook of the pyrrhotites. This is a SUPERB older pyrrhotite combination, dating to prior to the 1980s. It has a special antique patina to it that has to be seen to be believed, and is so much more impressive in person. Valued above $1000 but hard to value, honestly, as it is so different than others.
