Dal'negorsk is renowned for world-classic sulfide specimens and this is a very fine example. Intergrown, lustrous, stepped-growth, brass-brown, hexagonal, pyrrhotite plates form an impressive small cabinet plate. The partially contacted back side holds a nifty 1.2 cm, nailhead calcite crystal plus oxide-coated quartz crystals. Very nearly pristine, with only the most trivial of edge wear. Choice, early 1990s material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock.
