Pyrrhotite "core" (ex Willard Wulff Collection)

A rarely seen Pyrrhotite "core" from the famous Chibougamau area in Quebec. This region is best known for its Cubanite specimens, and I've honestly never seen a piece of Pyrrhotite from any mine at Chibougamau. This piece is a simple drill "core" of Pyrrhotite with no actual crystallization, but it's certainly unique and rare for the locality. This specimen comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. The piece comes with a typed label from Wulff on one of his famous 3x5 index cards which states that it's from "Chibugomoim, Canada" as the given locality, and Wullf actually made a note to check the spelling of the locality.
