Pyrrhotite (classic locale) ex Obodda

Item Description

A very aesthetic and classic, freestanding, hexagonal, pyrrhotite crystal from the famous mines at Dal'negorsk. One face of the intensely laminated crystal has beautiful bronze-brown luster and color, while the other side has matte-finish plates with striking, lustrous, secondary, bronze-brown edges. The quartz crystals at the base are a fine accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with just a bit of out-of-sight bruising on the ends. Choice and excellent material from the early 1990s finds from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued the piece at $350.
