Pyrrhotite

Item Description

This sulfide is well known in the mineral community, but one rarey sees a cut stone of this material. I know that this material is cut into cabochons, and has a lovely coppery metallic patina, but facetted gems are indeed rare. This "Oval" cut gem is a wonderful stone and would make a great addition to any rare stone collection.
