Item Description
Pyroxmangite is a fairly rare manganese silicate and good gem material is almost impossible to find. The only good gems I've seen are those from the Morro da Mina mine in Brazil. These stones are rarely eye clean, but they are gem quaity Pyroxmangite and very well known among rare gem collectors. This particular stone has visible inclusions, but the color is a fiery pink (very similar to smaller Sweet Home Rhodos) and there's truly only one mine where you can get gems of this material in the world. It's a beautiful rare gem to add to your collection. The matching piece of rough is a great compliment to the gem as it has the same color crystals with decent translucency. Keep in mind that not all Pyroxmangite is pink, as there are localities that produce dark brown Pyroxmangite which is not nearly as attractive as this material.
