Vivid variable pink, translucent, pyroxmangite veins richly course through the sulfide matrix on this sculptural and rich 360-degree miniature from the famous Sunnyside Mine. This is an incredibly colorful, rich and rare example of this uncommon Mn-silicate from this noted locale. Old reports listed this a rhodonite, a polymorph, but modern analyses have proved this to be pyroxmangite. Very choice, rich and desirable material from the Robert Fender Collection.
