Item Description

Pyrosmalite-(Fe) is a rare, chlorine-containing silicate. This iron-rich variety specimen is represented by two choice hexagonal, tan crystals on matrix. The main crystal is nearly 2 cm across, and nicely terminated. This fine piece probably dates to the 1800s. Ex. Swedish Natural History Museum in Stockholm. An important specimen!
