Item Description

Pyromorphite from the famous San Francisco Mine is RARE. The San Francisco Mine is renowned for wulfenite and mimetite. This specimen is very important because although pyromorphite was reported historically from the mine, it seems to have been from a small vein in the upper levels and no such specimens have been found in any of the recent explorations here that I am aware of. This showy and excellent specimen features a multitude of translucent, yellow-green barrels attractively covering the undulating, sculptural matrix. The cluster and a few scattered blades of classic yellow-orange wulfenite crystals are a super accent. Extremely rare combination material from this noted locale. Ex Dave and Emily Stoudt Collection # 974.
