Pyromorphite with Dioptase with Plancheite

Several Dioptase crystals are the highlight for this attractive specimen from the M'fouati District in the DRC. The lustrous, translucent, emerald green Dioptase crystals are largely clustered in the center of the piece and most are terminated with the a few only lightly contacted from what was the other side of the pocket. They have a very deep color and are on gossan matrix partially coated by tiny, fibrous Plancheite aggregates that add great color and contrast. A sharp small cabinet piece for that, but what is REALLY unusual is the association of a few brown crystals of pyromorphite in the pocket, somethng we have not seen before on such a piece. Fascinating combination specimen! I was not aware such a combo existed. The pyro is not beautiful, but it is clearly crystallized and hanging over the copper mineralization.
