Item Description
A rich, colorful, rare and sculptural older 2-sided pyromorphite small cabinet combination from the famous San Andres Mine of Spain. Juicy, translucent, rich apple-green prisms strikingly cover both sides of this nearly solid pyromorphite specimen. The impressive large compound crystal on one side is 2.6 cm long. Both sides, especially the 'B" side, host rare accessories - scattered clusters of adamantine lustre cerussite blades and pods of "mother" galena. This small galena-barite mine opened in 1926 and this fine piece is from late-1970s to 1980s finds. The mine closed in 1990. World-class pyromophites were recovered by two Spanish collectors in the late 1990s. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. Rich, rare and choice older pyromorphite combination materal from the mine.
