Sprays of apple-green, lustrous, translucent, hoppered pyromorphite prisms, to about 1.2 cm, are aesthetically festooned on both sides of this sculptural two-sided miniature from the early 2000s finds at the famous Daoping Mine. Nearly pristine, it's hard to see the few broken crystals on the interior of the piece. A world-class pyromorphite locale, Daoping is famed for diversity of colors, crystal habits and forms and this is an excellent miniature example of this varietal. Obtained in a large trade from prominent collector, Steve Smale. Ex Dr. Steve Smale Collection.
