Intergrown diverging sprays of rich apple-green, slender pyromorphite prisms form an elegant and most aesthetic small cabinet. The striking, dominating central knob is 2.7 cm and hosts crystals to about 1.3 cm long. And some of these compound crystals are hoppered, which adds much pizzazz. This is among the richest, lushest and rarest green hue you will see from the myriad of varietals from Daoping and the slender crystal style is rare. An exceptional, colorful and rare style of pyromorphite from the famed early 2000s finds at the Daoping Mine. This outstanding specimen is pristine, amazing for all of the crystal density. The striking densely scalloped oxide crust on this solid pyromorphite specimen adds an additional element of interest. Ex Steve Smale Collection, one of the great mineral connoisseurs of our time.
