Juicy, rich apple-green tapered pyromorphite spindles, to 1.2 cm, comprise this superb, beautifully sculptural, 3-dimensional, richly covered solid crust. This is among the richest, lushest and rarest green hue you will see from the myriad of varietals from Daoping and the tapered prism style is rare. An exceptional, colorful and rare style of pyromorphite from the famed early 2000s finds at the Daoping Mine. Nearly pristine, with only one bruised prism noted in the dense interior. The striking densely scalloped crust on this solid pyromorphite specimen adds an additional element of interest. Ex Steve Smale Collection, one of the great mineral connoisseurs of our time. Steve only collects the best and this certainly qualifies. I obtained this in a large trade with Steve over 10 years ago. He valued it at $1800 at that time when they were still more or less contemporary.
