Item Description

Grafenwohr was a small locality in Germany that produced these interesting yellow-green pyromorphites on sandstone. Now the site of a military base, the locality is completely off-limits for collecting, so any of these specimens on the market today are old material (and quite uncommon!). The locality was not known to have produced any other mineral specimens of note. This cabinet sized specimen, richly covered in pyromorphite crystals typical from this find, is a great example of this old material from the now defunct locality. Ex. Chet Lemanski collection.
