Item Description

I've only seen a handful of Pyromorphites from the Lorenz Gegentrum Mine in Freiberg. These pieces remind one of the classic specimens from well-known localities like Les Farges, France or various mines in Cumbria, England. This specimen features dozens if not hundreds of small, sharp, lustrous, prismatic, beautiful green colored crystals of Pyromorphite which essentially cover every side of the piece. Most of the crystals are undamaged, but there are some bruises here and there. Good quality all around, and a must have for any collector of Pyromorphite or German minerals due to the rare locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1943). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
