Pyromorphite (rare from Bolivia)

From the find of 2009. On a worldwide scale, these are not the finest Pyromorphite specimens, but for Boilvia, they are wonderful unique and interesting specimens. For any of you Pyromorphite collectors out there, this is something that is very rarely offered on the open market. This specimen consists of fairly good quality, sharp, prismatic, hexagonal, green crystals of Pyromorphite on matrix. The biggest Pyromorphite crystal is only about 2 mm, but the fact that these crystals are truly from Bolivia is what makes them so exciting. I have never seen anything quite like this from any mine in Bolivia. These are very well formed crystals and are only very slightly skeletal or hoppered. This particular piece is one of the bigger specimens of the material that I have offered. A great "locality" specimen for any Pyromorphite collector.
