Item Description

Beautiful, juicy, translucent yellow-green hexagonal pyromorphite barrels, to 5 mm, fill a well-placed 4.7 cm vug in the sculptural vuggy drusy quartz matrix. Daoping is easily one of the world's great pyromorphite localties, but specimens with galena ore are VERY RARE from this hydrothermal lead-zinc deposit. The back of the piece hosts a 3.5 cm patch of splendent metallic platy galena. A showy and excellent example of this pyromorphite varietal in quartz with RARE galena ore. Ex R.D.
