Item Description

Mustard-yellow tipped pyromorphite barrels are some of the most striking, unusual and desirable varietals from the famed Les Farges Mine. This world-class pyromorphite locale produced a dizzying variety of excellent specimens prior to its closing in 1981. Lustrous, wet-look, olive-green barrels to 6 mm totally cover both sides and the crest of this very colorful and fine two-sided rib. All of the myriad of olive-green prisms have the desirable mustard-yellow tips. The very modest bit of bruising is certainly not a detraction. Ex Al Ordway Collection and purchased in 1982, just after the mine closed, from Wrights Rock Shop. Valued at $1000-1250.
