Nestled aesthetically in a vug of limonite is a pocket of white quartz. On the quartz are emplaced clusters of extremely lustrous and translucent, bright apple green pyromorphite, to 8 mm across. The quality of the pyros, though they are small in themselves, is superb! And the combined sparkling effect of so many of them (hundreds!) is really attractive. The color and textural differences between the limonite, quartz and pyromorphite are outstanding. We have seen few large pieces like this of the style - most are broken up to maximize the number of pieces which can be sold, it seems.
