Bright, apple-green, pyromorphite prisms to 8 mm are very richly and aesthetically set on bubbly, botryoidal, goethite lining a sculptural curved vug in sturdy limonite matrix on this very showy and excellent specimen from the historic mines of Cornwall. Undoubtably an old-time specimen, but no exact locality survives (although some out there might make a good guess, I imagine!). This is certainly the finest Cornwall pyromorphite specimen we have offered at auction, ourselves. Ex Dennis Mullane Collection and comes with an older, faded label. This is a sleeper spiker for this auction, valued $500 or more.
