Item Description
An incredibly hard to find specimen from the lesser-known Surprise Mine in the northeastern reach of the Mojave Desert. This is the first specimen we've ever had to offer from this locality. It features a matrix of metallic silvery-grey Galena which plays host to spherical greenish-golden colored groups of Pyromorphite measuring up to 2.5 mm across. Some of the Pyromorphites have a micro drusy coating of sparkling colorless Quartz crystals for an added touch. Fun to view up close, and if you collect secondary ore minerals, rare locality specimens or minerals from California, this is something that I'll bet most of you don't have in your collections.
