Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, pretty apple-green pyromorphite prisms to 5 mm richly cover the sculptural matrix of oxide-coated platy galena on this very fine old-time combination specimen from the less well-known Chester County Mine (according to its labels) at Phoenixville. Primary ore production was from 1847-1854. Additional ore production took place from 1918-1920. We suspect this piece is from the late production. Very rarely available and aesthetic old combination material from this locale. Value??
