Pyromorphite on Cerussite

Item Description

Lustrous, "wet-look", apple-green prisms in stellate, radiating clusters richly and aesthetically cover nearly every side of the 3-dimensional cerussite crystal matrix on this very showy and excellent specimen from recent finds at the now-famous Daoping Mine of China. The largest prism is 7 mm and the variable crystal size is especially noteworthy. Contacting is noted on one end and part of one side, but this remains a striking and very rich combination example of the two speices. The variations in green colors, crystal forms and crystal size make this a world-class pyromorphite locality. These have become contemporary classics.
